Today I bring you a rough draft of the Sun God in color. I am revving up to do a model sheet, and subsequently a model in 3D. This little number is just a rough sketch to get the lead out and see if I could dust off the ol' Photoshop skills. I plan to begin another from scratch. The tone and color needs reworking, the head needs to be bigger and the anatomy needs fixing. The hair isn't supposed to be a fuax-hawk either, but I couldn't get the whole 'underwater-but-not-actually' flow-y type look. I began this knowing full well it was just a rough sketch, and that I would do another afterward.
Any suggestions/criticism/comments appreciated.
It's zoomed out a bit, the original is in 16x9 (if I did a model sheet for it).
Also, I think I am going to do some scanning tonight and put up a bunch of process work. Not for just the Sun God, but for all of the deities I have been designing. I call it Project:Pantheon.
